Adam "Smasher" Samson
Appearance: A young man of average height with an athletic build, brown hair, and blue eyes. Wears a Marowak-skull helmet, a t-shirt with an obscure logo™, blue jeans, green canvas shoes, a black vest, and fingerless gloves. The helmet appears to have lenses in the eye sockets, although he doesn't always wear it over his face. Almost never seen without a skateboard, probably wedged behind his backpack.
Personality: Generally an easy-going guy, but also an adrenaline junkie. The best times of his life involve narrowly avoiding certain death. Usually optimistic and not quick to anger. When he is angry, he maintains his calm facade, but the intensity of his actions may appear frightening.
Biography: Smasher grew up in Lavender Town in the Kanto Region. His parents divorced when he was younger and his mother remarried. His biological father1 left on a Pokémon journey and still keeps in touch, even sending Smasher his helmet and the egg containing his first Pokémon as gifts. Smasher also used to be part of a street crew of skateboarders, in-line skaters, and free-runners that eventually got so large it collapsed and divided into different factions. Shortly after, Smasher decided it was time to go on a Pokémon journey of his own.
Smasher made many friends on his journeys, including his platonic life partner, Amber Powers. He also discovered his latent Aura Guardian powers, which he has little training in and is largely self-taught. He is capable of basic Aura attacks and the occasional flash of supernatural intuition via the sixth sense. An "Extreme Pokémon" circuit appears to have opened up, and Smasher seeks to compete.

Amber Rose Powers
Appearance: Amber is about a year or two older than Smasher, a little taller, with a similar, albeit more feminine, build, blond hair in a short ponytail, and green eyes. Wears a green tank top, black pants, pink tennis shoes, and black sleeves. Has a pair of in-line skates hanging on the side of her pack.
Personality: Amber is cool, sly, and intelligent. A fearless thrill seeker who also likes to take it easy. She has a wry sense of humor and doesn't let a lot get to her. When she does get angry, it's like she's slowly going insane.
Biography: Amber grew up in Vermillion City in the Kanto Region. She earned her Pokémon License under the tutelage of the Leader of the Vermillion City Gym, Lieutenant Surge. By the time she met Smasher, she had already competed in the Pokémon League once and was killing time as a regular at her home town gym until the Johto League's season reopened. Amber met Smasher at a comic book convention and hit it off right away. They could have been a couple, but Amber had no romantic interest in boys. Regardless, the two have been nearly inseparable since.
Pokémon
Heidi Lee
Appearance: Heidi isn't as old, tall, or muscular as Smasher or Amber, but she is more curvy and endowed, with long, wavy, brown hair and black eyes. Wears a white, button-down shirt nearly hiding a tan skirt, with white trouser-socks and black shoes. A piece of Old Amber hangs from a chain around her neck, converted into jewelry after the DNA it held had been extracted. She carries everything in a duffle bag, including a mountain bike.
Personality: Energetic, perky, curious, fearless, and sensual. There is little Heidi won't do at least once, and plenty she's looking forward to trying. She always tries to see things in a positive manner, especially when everyone else being negative. When angered, she can be quiet to the point that she drains the room of sound, her eyes piercing to near-lethality, or a raging tornado of fury.
Biography: At four years of age, Heidi was the sole survivor of a train crash that killed her parents. She was adopted by couple that could easily be described as "hippies," which was an uncomfortable contrast to her strict disciplinarian biological parents. She refused to like or listen to them, caused no end of trouble, and they didn't want to force her into doing anything. One day, they left her home alone for a few hours, and found her crying in her room when they returned. This event didn't change much in her behavior, but her adopted parents felt they understood her motivations a bit more. They tried to include her in more of their activities, and despite herself she became more interested in some of them. She gained more respect for them the more she learned from them.
She grew up in Vermilion City, but only had brief, fleeting encounters with Amber Powers until they met one day during their separate Pokemon journeys. Amber rescued her from an angry rogue Pokemon that managed to knock out most of Heidi's Pokemon. After that, they were nearly inseparable.
